Hey Reader, “The quality of your life is based on the quality of your relationships.” That line hit me fkn hard this week. One of our Confidence on Camera challenge members, Thomas, mentioned it in his day 2 video submission, and it took me straight back to early college when social anxiety ran my life. Overthinking every word. Wondering how I looked. Needing shots of fireball just to calm the nerves. It may have helped in the moment (if I didn't black out), but it definitely prevented me from actually connecting with people. What changed everything? Talking to a camera, one video at a time. It taught me to slow down, speak with intention, and connect deeper with the people I care about. This is the secret to living a better life… I can confidently say that life is 10X better now than when I was living in my head. Another member said he joined the challenge to communicate better but realized it’s really been a self-analysis tool. Self-growth takes place when we take a hard look in the mirror, especially when we’re uncomfortable. That’s the magic, because you unpack so much you didn’t know about yourself. If you struggle with social anxiety or overthinking, start filming yourself. If for no other reason (building a brand, creating content, etc.), do it for you. Do it for your relationships. Do it for the life you want to live. And if you want to build this skill with support, it’s not too late to join us in the 7-Day Confidence on Camera Challenge. Here are some of the comments we’re getting inside the community: Click here to sign up for the 7-Day Confidence on Camera Challenge See you inside, Ashton P.S. Once you join, you also get free access to our community + Dreamflow OS ($67) – your all-in-one system for brand, content, and business. |

Hey Reader, “Embarrassment is an under-explored emotion. Go out there and make a fool of yourself. Feel that feeling of cringe, and do it anyway.” I heard this scrolling on TikTok the other day, and gahhh damn it smacked me silly. “Embarrassment is an under-explored emotion.” That line alone hits different. How often have we scared our true selves away just to avoid feeling embarrassed? Truth is, embarrassment isn’t as bad as we make it. What someone thinks of you is a reflection of them, not...
Hey Reader, Talking to a camera can feel awkward as hell. What do I say? How do I look? What will people think about me? These thoughts can mess with your flow and make you lose your authenticity. At least that was my biggest challenge when I started on YouTube, overthinking everything instead of just showing up. But if you’ve got something to say, a brand or business to build, and you’re done helping someone else chase their dream… this is a problem worth overcoming. Opportunities show up...
Hey Reader, How easy is it for you to push important things off? Resistance can easily make the task feel impossible, and suddenly distractions feel “urgent,” like you have no other option. But how often do you finally do the thing… only to realize it wasn’t as bad as you made it out to be? In college, I dreaded accounting. I dreaded every last drop of those 5 classes I had to take. Once I finished the final class, I realized I actually enjoyed accounting, and looking back I realized I made...
